GfK: every fifth bank customer uses online banking services
The use of online banking is considered as advanced in Hungary – one in five bank customers use online banking services – but in comparision, Hungary is lagging behind the neighboring countries – the GfK market research company announced on Thursday.
The research of the GfK Retail Banking Monitor (RBM) investigate banking and financial market developments and trends in Hungary and at the region's markets since 1995. The computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) research is carried out quarterly, on a sample of 1000 users.
According to the research, 19 percent of the Hungarian population do their banking over the Internet. This result can be considered as medium among the countries of the region. In Austria, this ratio is 75, in the Czech Republic 44, in Slovakia 36, in Slovenia 33 and in Poland it is 26 percent. (MTI)
