GfK: the market sales have doubled over the last ten years
According to the datas of the GfK Hungária research institute, the value of market sales have doubled over the last ten years. People mainly visit markets in the capital and in big cities acquiring fresh products.
Over the past decade, households have doubled their spendings on the markets, while a similar trend characterizes the total turnover of daily consumer goods. Thus, the markets have kept their stable five percent share ratio – the GfK announced on Thursday.
The market research institute reported that the biggest losers of the decade are the independent convenience stores.- Their position have gradually weakened, while the hypermarkets and domestic chains have increased steadily. (MTI)
