GfK: 2012 was a good year on the syrup market
The winners of the cold non-alcoholic beverages segment of last year – in addition to mineral waters – were syrups that are available on favorable prices.
Contrary to carbonated soft drinks, iced teas and juices, it was the only category that attracted more customers in 2012 than a year earlier – shows the datas of GfK Hungária’s Household Panel that is monitoring the household consumption of households. Over a year, the volume consumed is 12 liters per household. Less consumers are buying less fruit juices fewer and in smaller amounts. The demand for ice teas has stagnated, while turnover increased in value.
