GfK: Consumer confidence fell sharply
According to the GfK Consumer Confidence Index, in the third quarter of this year consumer confidence showed a significant decrease of about 15 points. The values of both the consumer confidence and both the consumer expectations index fell to the values of early 2013.
The GfK Consumer Confidence Index reached 163 points in September 2014, after a 15 points of decline.
The Consumer Expectations Index also significant drop in the third quarter of 2014, the index is currently 184.6 points. The Propensity to Buy Index fell by nearly 10 points it is currently standing on 139 points.
