GfK: the machine tool market is changing
According to the survey of GfK Hungária published on Tuesday, the electric machine tool market declined last year, due to the ongoing economic crisis. In addition, the weight of the DIY stores have also reduced, after the departure of a participant. This trend is expected to continue this year.
According to the datas of the market research institute, the sales of electric machine tools decreased by 2.7 percent in terms value and declined by 7.3 percent in terms volume in 2012.
Among the examined product categories drills are the most popular products, on the basis of turnover, however by considering the number of items more lower-priced grinders were sold than last year. (MTI)
