GfK: the wealthier spend on health maintenance
According to GfK Hungária’s Health Economic Monitor 2012 annual survey, the Hungarian population has increased their spendings on health maintenance over the past year.
The study concludes that although the majority of the population is aware of the main risks, they do not change too much on their lifestyle. Four out of five people used alternative medical solutions, 15 percent used preventive services.
In the consumer groups with higher income (about one third of the population) mainly the preservation of health and prevention are major aim for health spendings, while in the remaining two-thirds of the population with lower income people spend primarily to treat diseases and health maintenance.
