GfK: turnover of the telecom market grew by 30 percent
In the third quarter of this year, the turnover of the telecommunications market grew by 30 percent, compared to the same period of the last year – the GfK Hungária told MTI on Tuesday.
According to the market research company’s survey, the sales of telecommunication products in January-September amounted to a total of 90.8 billion HUF, which is 15.1 percent higher than the turnover in the same period of the last year.
The GfK highlights, that the domestic growth is generated by the demand towards smart phones. The sector’s turnover in value increased by more than 50 percent, while revenues from the traditional phones dropped by 38 percent. Average prices showed a downward trend, although at smart phones decrease in prices was slight. (MTI)
