Gene manipulated bread from Canada
Gene manipulated foods, containing not yet approved linseed in the European Union, has transported into many EU member states, from Canada – announced the European Commission in Brussels.
It is a plant that can be consumpted in Canada and in the United States, but in the EU it is still not allowed on the market. According to the international environmental organization the Greenpeace; the gene manipulated bread turned up in several EU countries like Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Luxembourg, Romania, Hungary and in the non-EU member Switzerland as well. The European Commission has asked EU member states to withdraw these products from the commercial markets. Also taken action to ensure that Canada will stop deliveries – reports Magyar Nemzet Online.
