Gemius: the majority of the Hungarian Internet users are women
The recent analyzis of Gemius shows that in Hungary, one in four Internet users are between the age of 25 and 34. Also, one in four Internet users have secondary education, and every fifth has a higher education.
In September 2014, 5,152,896 persons used the Internet among the population over 15 in Hungary. This is 60.78 percent Internet penetration, which corresponds to the European average and is quite high in the Central and Eastern European region. Most of the users (86 percent of them) use the Internet on a daily basis. According to the research, 51.23 percent of the users are women, while 48.76 percent of them are men.
