GDPR: more fines, but there are still few well-prepared organizations
The total amount of GDPR fines imposed on companies operating in Hungary exceeded 140 million forints.
Most companies violate the principle of personal data processing, which has been penalized 58 times by the National Data Protection and Freedom of Information Authority (NAIH) in the last one and a half years. Most organizations are still delayed in completing the IT upgrades required for GDPR compliance, which risk further fines according to EY’s experience.
