GDP and consumption expansion in the United States
The U.S. GDP increased by 2.2 percent, in the third quarter instead of the estimated 2.8 percent – reported the U.S. Department of Commerce. Consumption increased in October and November also.
The less than expected GDP growth is still the best since the third quarter of 2007, ending the recession of four consecutive quarter. Analysts forecast a 4.5 percent expansion for the October-December period – reports Világgazdaság Online after Reuters.
