Economy-tourism-investment-municipality The one-billion-forint development of the Gyulai Castle Spa begins
The remodeling and expansion of the main building of the Gyula Spa will begin on Tuesday, at a cost of around one billion forints, the municipality announced in a statement to MTI.
As it was written, they previously won HUF 3.2 billion from the Hungarian Tourist Agency and Kisfaludy 2030 Turisztikai Fejlsztő Nonprofit Zrt. with a support intensity of 90 percent. Of this, the new children’s water paradise was completed last year for HUF 1 billion 50 million.
The expansion and transformation of the main building on about a thousand square meters is now starting from almost HUF 940 million net – 90 percent of which is covered by the grant.
The rest area will be increased by 180 square meters; a new restaurant, a pizza-pasta show kitchen will be created; remedial massage is moved; the co-educational guest locker room will be expanded with 370 lockers and new washroom blocks.
The rheumatology department belonging to the Békés Vármegyei Central Hospital has moved out of the building, and in its place, staff changing rooms with direct staff access, a new economic entrance, warehouses, and a laundry are being created.
