Gartner: Global PC sales fell by 6.8 in the first quarter
Global sales of personal computers (PCs) fell 6.8 percent to 77.9 million year-over-year in the first quarter, according to preliminary data from U.S. analyst firm Gartner.

Global PC sales decline
The decline was largely due to declining demand for Chromebook laptops, after sales rose sharply in 2020 and early 2021 due to the acquisition of such devices by U.S. schools. Excluding Chromebooks, the global PC market grew 3.9 percent in the first quarter. (MTI)
