Wheat harvest is expected to be completed in the country by the end of the week
The wheat harvest is expected to be completed by the end of the week in Hungary, because the weather was favorable during the time of the harvest – the president of the National Association of Grain Producers (GOSZ) told MTI on Thursday.
Vancsura József said that 85 to 95 percent of the wheat has been harvested in the country. According to preliminary estimates the crop may be around 4.5 to 4.7 million tons, but the expert believes that it is possible that the total quantity of wheat may be close to last year's level, which was 5 million tons.
