Grain is the main commodity of Hungarian agroexport
Wheat and corn are Hungary’s two main commodities within the agricultural export. In the first three months of 2018, 1.2 million tonnes of the two crops were exported. After last year’s numbers, it cannot be considered much, but remember: In 2016, a record amount of grain arrived into the warehouses – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
According to the Agrarian Trade Summary of the Agricultural Research Institute, the export value and balance of cereals were the highest among the 24 food products tested in the first quarter of 2018. The export revenue of this group of products was 17 percent of the total exports of agricultural products, compared to the 22 percent a year earlier. But let’s remember that in 2016 records were born. (agrarszektor.hu)
