The ministry wrote on Sunday that they are puzzled by the individual actions that ignore the agreement and try to disrupt the peace of the country preparing for the holidays.

He stated that they were not protesting against the government, but for the truck drivers and for a change in the law.

According to press information, István Sinka, another organizer of the event, took the truck drivers’ demands to the ÉKM together with others, where they said they were received by Minister János Lázár’s chief of staff and the deputy state secretary, who indicated that they were open to dialogue.

According to his statement, they will spend the night at a gas station, but they consider the demonstration a success, which is why they called on everyone to go home peacefully on Tuesday. The continuation of the demonstration depends on how the Ministry of Transport and Communications responds to their demands.
