Manufacturer recalls popular toy due to choking hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has ordered a recall of the Yetonamr Pull String Teething Toy because the product does not meet mandatory safety standards for toys.
According to the authority, the silicone “strings” are smaller than permitted, can reach the back of the throat and become stuck, which can cause difficulty breathing and choking.
According to the CPSC, about 6,800 units are affected: the product was sold on Amazon between June and October 2025, for prices between $10 and $16. The authority is aware of 32 incidents of choking related to the recall.
Consumers are advised to immediately take the toy away from children and request a full refund as instructed by the distributor/importer (Longyanguiheng): cut off and throw away the cords, write “DESTROYED” on the product body and send a photo to the email address provided.
