FruitVeB: the development of the fruit and vegetable sector can bring hundreds of thousands of new jobs
Hundreds of thousands of new jobs would be created through the development in the fruit and vegetable sector in the Hungarian agriculture Mártonffy Béla, chairman of the Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board (FruitVeB) said.
Mártonffy Béla, told MTI at the world's largest industrial trade fair, the Fruit Logistica in Berlin on Wednesday that the average yield in Hungary can be increased by 1 million tons to 3.5 million tons until the end of the union’s next 2014-2020 budget cycle. In particular to reach this goal, technological developments are needed – he pointed out. (MTI)
