FruitVeB: the fruit and vegetable sector is less affected by the frost damage
The frost damage affected the fruit and vegetable sector less – Ledó Ferenc Chairman of theFruitVeB Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Interprofessional Organisation and Product Board told M1 news channel on Saturday.
The president said that the frost damages mainly occured in the case of stone fruit crops that were exposed permanently to minus 18 degrees lower temperatures. The cold winter may negatively affected the glasshouse vegetable production, as it may affected the growth of the seedlings. (MTI)
