The President of the FruitVeB Hungarian Vegetable and Fruit Intergovernmental Organization and Product Board expects 10-15 percent less, 160-180 thousand tons of watermelon production.
Ledó Ferenc told MTI that due to the extremely low producer prices of last year, many farmers stopped production, the cultivation area was decreased by 10-15 percent to 4000-4200 hectares in the country, and lack of labor also occured. (MTI)
