FruitVeB: vegetable production is similar to last year’s and can be around 1.9 million tonnes
Some vegetables, including peppers and green peas, have been damaged by the long drought weather, but the warmth was good for sweet corn; record-breaking crop is expected.
Vegetable production can reach 1.9 million tonnes this year, but the volume may be affected by up to 5 percent by the weather in October – the chairman of the Hungarian Vegetable Fruit Interprofessional Organization and Product Council (FruitVeB) told MTI. (MTI)
