FruitVeB: lots of rain increase plant protection spendings
The weekend storm caused damages on a few thousand hectares in the orchards, but fortunately in the major vegetable-growing districts, there was less destruction.
But to the east of the Danube due to high rainfall, more intensive plant protection is needed, so farmers can expect higher costs – Apáti Ferenc, the Vice President of the FruitVeb Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Interprofessional Organization and Product Board told MTI. (MTI)
