The state of emergency will be extended until 24 July in France
The French government has decided to extend the state of health declared due to the coronavirus pandemic until July 24, the health minister has announced.
The lifting of the two-month state of emergency declared on March 24 would be too early, according to Olivier Véran, on May 23: the sudden lifting of precautionary measures could give the pandemic a new impetus.
