France expects a record number of tourists again
France expects a record number of tourists again after last year’s downturn due to the terrorist threats but the government continues to focus on long-term efforts, which means that in 2020, the country will receive 100 million foreigners a year.
“According to our forecasts 88 – 89 million tourists will visit France in 2017, which would be an increase of 5-6 percent compared to 2016” – Jean-Yves Le Drian, foreign minister responsible for tourism said on Monday evening at a conference in Giverny, near Paris. (MTI)
