Budapest, Lake Balaton, Western Transdanubia – the most powerful tourist regions

After Budapest and Balaton, the Western Transdanubian region is Hungary’s third strongest tourist destination with a 13 percent share – told the regional marketing director of the Hungarian National Tourist Office at Wednesday’s professional event in Sopron.

Tama István indicated that the region's most attractive destination was Bük last year, where more than 600 thousand overnight stays were registered. Sopron and Sárvár both had an over 400 thousand guest nights, while Győr excessed 300 thousand overnight stays. (MTI)
