LG and the Hungarian National Gallery announce a photo competition

Following last year’s highly successful joint art competition, LG Hungary and the Hungarian National Gallery are collaborating again this year. The parties’ photo competition, entitled “Life is Beautiful! Frame it Again!”, draws attention to the fact that everyday moments can be as beautiful and valuable as a work of art exhibited in a gallery. The competition was inspired by LG’s slogan “Life’s Good” and the LG ARTCOOL Gallery Special air conditioner concept, which resembles a painting and is also suitable as a work of art in homes.

A spring picnic, a face reflected in a puddle or a carefully laid table – small moments of everyday life that can become picturesque when viewed from a new perspective. The organizers are looking for photos from applicants over the age of 18 who are able to capture the most beautiful moments of everyday life in a unique way. Entrants must name a work of art from the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery that serves as the starting point for their creation.

The competition can be entered with both analog and digital photographs. The jury, consisting of art historians and museum professionals, will not evaluate images generated by artificial intelligence or with excessive post-processing. The deadline for submission of entries is June 10, 2025. The organizers will notify the applicants who submit the best photos by June 18, and the lucky winners will receive their awards at an award ceremony on June 26, 2025 at the Hungarian National Gallery.

The first place winner will go home with a valuable LG ARTCOOL Gallery Special air conditioner. The special thing about LG’s ARTCOOL Gallery air conditioner, which can be used for both cooling and heating, is that it doesn’t look like a traditional air conditioner at all: its square design and interchangeable front panel make it look exactly like a picture hanging on the wall. The second place winner will receive an LG DUALCOOL AI Air Premium Single Split air conditioner, while the third best entry will receive an LG DUALCOOL Special Single Split air conditioner.

Given the special nature of the prizes, LG Electronics will install the prizes through its nationwide, certified partner network.
