Source deficit in the Hungarian agriculture

To obtain credit in agriculture is harder than in the past. Due to the effect of the crisis resources decreased by around 15-20 percent – stated Gráf József Minister of Agriculture in MTV's Napkelte program.

The minister stressed that the ministry is doing everything in order to secure the finance for agriculture. The ministry held a meeting with five leading financial institutions.
According to Gráf, the situation in agriculture is still better than the other sectors, because the consumption of food declined less than the average in the world and in Hungary. The Minister also pointed out that last year the profit of the Hungarian agriculture from the 70 billion HUF of 2007 rose to around 100 billion HUF this year and the exports of the agricultural products exceeds imports by about 2 billion euros.
