Revolutionary ideas for the use of plastic in the cosmetic industry – the Startup Plastic Surgery incubation program ended with exciting ideas again
The 4-month program of Startup Plastic Surgery was held for the third time, the winners of which were announced in the middle of March, at the final competition held at the headquarters of KPMG Hungary, after the presentation of the ideas. The aim of the program is to find revolutionary solutions for dealing with the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and health, within any industry. The main sponsor of the event is Rossmann Hungary, so this time, in addition to the construction industry and the entertainment industry, many ideas for the cosmetics industry also came to light.
During the 4 months, the selected teams were provided with free business coaching, industry-focused professional support and participation in networking events, so that with the help of 8 industry mentors and 6 business coaches, they could present their ideas thoroughly developed and ready for implementation to the jury in the framework of the final competition. The award was decided by a five-member jury, including Tom Szaky, CEO of Terracycle and Loop, Adél Sifter, PR specialist of Rossmann Hungary, Anna Kálmán, senior manager of KPMG, Ádám Horváth, senior investment manager of Hiventures, and Annamária Virág, sustainability expert .
For the first time in the program’s history, international teams competed, and the number of applicants was the highest this time. The application criteria included a team of at least 2 people and any innovative ideas related to plastic or its use. There were no restrictions on the development of ideas – while advanced designs were preferred, the jury also welcomed applications in the idea phase.
