In Forint terms Hungary exports more than before the crisis
Between January and September, the export volume increased by 18, imports by 16 percent compared to the base period. The increase in euro was 22, and 19 percent. The trade balance surplus was 1,110 billion HUF (4,033 million euros) 385 billion HUF (1,495 million euros) more than in the same period of 2009 – reports the Central Statistical Office.
In the first nine months of the year, export value was 14,358 billion HUF (52.2 billion euros), while the value of import was 13,248 billion HUF (48.1 billion euros), so Forint value of the exports were slightly higher, while the value of imports has not reached the pre-crisis level yet. The Forint has strengthened, compared to the major currencies by 2.5 percent including euro by 3 percent, while weakened compared to the USD by 0.4 percent.
