The integration of the Packeta Z-BOX machines into the FOXPOST network will begin in the fall. The first phase will start on September 8: from this day on, two types of machines will be available in the FOXPOST network. The already familiar touch-screen devices will continue to operate under the name FOXPOST A-BOX, while the push-button control panel machines known from the Packeta system will appear under the name FOXPOST Z-BOX.

The two machine types operate in one network, with a uniform appearance, and orientation is facilitated by the A-BOX and Z-BOX logos placed on the machines. Parcel collection works the same way at both machines, but they differ in a few things.

The A-BOX machines operate with the usual FOXPOST touch-screen interface, no prior registration is required for parcel delivery, and payment is made via a POS terminal. The Z-BOX uses a push-button control panel, online registration is required for parcel delivery, and payment is made via a payment link. Special markings in the webshops show which type offers which options.

In the first step, 18 machines will be installed. After that, a test run of a few weeks will begin, during which the company will monitor and evaluate the operating experiences. After the test period, a total of 139 FOXPOST Z-BOX machines will be placed in new locations this year. The integration of the entire Packeta network will continue in 2026.

Along with the changes, the machine search module and the data connection system (widget/JSON) will be renewed. The new system shows more accurate, real-time saturation data, so that users can more easily select the freest machine.

FOXPOST helps users, webshops and webshop engine developers with the transition with accurate, detailed information. The available information includes descriptions of the machines, materials comparing the functions of the different types, and technical guides necessary for integration.
