Important deadline: annual nitrate data reporting due by March 31
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) draws producers’ attention to the upcoming deadline. The deadline for nitrate data reporting is March 31 every year. The data to be submitted must be recorded on the Nébih electronic interface this year as well.
According to the relevant regulation, farmers in nitrate-sensitive areas and those who keep livestock exceeding household needs are required to document their records for 2025 in the electronic farming diary (eGN) system by the last day of March at the latest. To enter the eGN, click on the “Customer Profile E-administration” field on the Nébih home page and access the electronic interface with a customer gate ID. After selecting the eGN, the administration interface will appear under the link “Continue to e-administration”, where operations can be performed on your own behalf, as an authorized representative or on the basis of a company representation. On the thematic subpage of Nébih https://portal.nebih.gov.hu/egn, among other useful information, the interface’s completion instructions are also available. The office has prepared a separate information sheet for animal keepers on the scope of the data to be filled in.
