Construction of the industrial park next to the logistics center continues in Zalaegerszeg
The second phase of the construction of the industrial park to be built next to the future logistics center of the German Metrans will continue in Zalaegerszeg at a cost of HUF 300 million, the town’s mayor announced at his press conference on Thursday.
Zoltán Balaicz (Fidesz-KDNP) recalled: Metrans, which is part of the German Hamburger Hafen und Logistik group of companies, is building one of Europe’s most modern rail-road container terminals and logistics centers in Zalaegerszeg. The investment worth more than HUF 30 billion will directly create 120 new jobs, and together with the related developments, up to 500 new jobs may be created in the region.
The company has already purchased the 20-hectare area required for the first phase of the investment from the municipality, where the archaeological excavation is currently taking place.
