The development of tourist houses continues
Tourist houses developments continued with governmental support. Within the Téry Ödön National Tourist Houses Development Program in 2018, 6 tourist accommodations received 996 million HUF support, while in 2019 20 tourist accommodations could be renewed from government support of 597 million HUF – the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office reveals.
Szabó Szabolcs, an independent MP, asked how long the renovation of the tourist houses will last and whether there would be further renovations.
In his reply, Dömötör Csaba, Minister of State of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office, said that the government considers it important to improve the conditions of active tourism, therefore in recent years many new and renovated lookouts, accommodations, rest areas and other public welfare facilities were handed over.
