How and for how long can you keep up the pace you live your life at?

– There is only one thing that tires me: resting. I am very impulsive, I have so many ideas and it is very difficult to keep up with me – even for my family. The world is also moving fast, for example lots more people are now exercising online, which is something I have had to adapt to.

– Sooner or later you mightn’t even be needed: an AI creation will prepare the training plans…

– But I am going to live longer and I will be in great form. There is something good in everything. Seriously though, if you are just watching and doing nothing, you will fall behind. You have to keep up the pace!

– How do you manage to train so much? All I see is that you are training on a stage with incredible energy.

– I love it and I think if you do something you are passionate about, you can put that much energy into it. Even if it takes hard work behind the scenes. Organising a camp for 170 people isn’t easy and it is very important for me that my guests have a good time.

– Why did you end up such a divisive figure? Some people adore you, but on social media I read some very unflattering, very blunt opinions.

– I really love people and I am grateful that I can give them so much through physical exercise, because I think it is the healthiest drug a person can take. If someone takes issue with that and says negative things about me, I can’t relate to that – it isn’t my energy. I am developing myself and the further I go on this path, the further these people move away from me and their voices become quieter.

– How did you get almost a million followers on Facebook? It takes more than hard work, perseverance and a series of lucky coincidences: you need a certain amount of consciousness.

– Yes, it does. It started when my two older children became a little more independent, and I decided to start teaching aerobics classes again. I rented a 250-person hall in the 13th district, even though my husband Norbi didn’t really believe I would be able to fill it. There was no Facebook or Instagram back then, so I had flyers made. There were three people at the first class, then five, then four because of muscle soreness the following Tuesday, and then suddenly there were ten. Since I could hardly move because of my sore muscles, I went to my masseuse friend who told me about Facebook. During the next training I took out my camera and took a few pictures of my five customers, in the evening I uploaded the photos, tagged quite a few people, and that is how my million-follower Facebook page started. I was in the right place at the right time – just like with Instagram.

– You must be a very tough negotiator.

– Not really. As a girl coming from the countryside, I am straightforward, I speak my mind, but I am very careful not to hurt people. I am honest, I say what I feel and I really live for what we do.
