Successful agricultural training program continues in Ghana
Dr. Oszkár Ökrös, Deputy Secretary of State for International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, received a delegation from the Governance Africa Foundation in a bilateral meeting.

The parties discussed the continuation of the Ministry of Agriculture’s successful agricultural advisory program in Ghana. The Ministry of Agriculture’s training program involves local agricultural professionals. The knowledge acquired during the training contributes to improving the economic situation of farmers, their families and those living in their immediate surroundings. The program strengthens the conditions for staying in the country in a sustainable way, reduces migration and develops local agriculture. George Odamtten, who led the delegation of the Governance Africa Foundation, referred to the previous successes of the program and emphasized that the Foundation would be happy to organize the training program in 2026 as well, during which they continue to count on the participation of Hungarian trainers and experts. Dr. Oszkár Ökrös, Deputy Secretary of State, said that the African agricultural vocational training project continues to be of paramount importance to the Ministry of Agriculture and confirmed that the Ministry of Agriculture remains committed to continuing the cooperation. The details of the program and the terms of cooperation will be finalized in the coming weeks.
