Galeries Lafayette Staff Continue Strike in Paris
Around 800 workers picketed the store on Friday and Saturday, in opposition of management plans to keep the store open later during the holiday season and special promotions.
The staff of Galeries Lafayette, the
iconic Parisian department store chain, are expected to continue to
remain on strike this week, to protest against an extension of
working hours. According to one union representative, managers at the
chain have made no changes to their plans.
