Subways plans growth in Russia
Subway is planning to open 13 new outlets in Russia before the end of the year to take its network to 61 locations.
At a conference, Subway Russia Vice
President, Gennady Kochetkov, said the chain plans to have at least
100 outlets by the end of 2009. "We are convinced that the pace
of growth will not slow in the financial crisis," he said,
adding that if anything, it will boost the development of fast-food
restaurants as a result of consumers trading down to lower cost
options.
