Hungary GMO-free status is constantly monitored
GMO-free controls are continuous in Hungary. In recent years, GMO-contaminated seeds and crops were destroyed on 6,500 hectares – the Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel on Tuesday.
Fazekas Sándor told that it is not a good direction to produce food of chemical materials as well as animal cloning, because the processes mentioned above break the natural process, do not need farmers and consumers will buy insecure quality food.
As he said, Hungary has excellent capability for traditional food production, the products have a significant market both in Hungary and abroad. (MTI)
