Life in Europe is gradually relaunched
Life is gradually being relaunched in many countries in Europe, but they are very careful everywhere. True, there are places with seemingly strange decisions. At the same time, the restart is accompanied by the fact that the use of medical protective equipment is still mandatory everywhere, and compliance with the regulations remains very important. Let’s say the details.
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said on Thursday that it was in Austria’s interest to open borders to countries that were “safe” for the epidemic, and that it made no sense to maintain border controls at points where it hindered people more than it provided protection. However, he also drew attention to the fact that no one is allowed into Austria from countries where the situation is “unsafe”, ie where they cannot control the coronavirus epidemic.
Like most countries, Austria’s tourism has been put in a difficult position by the coronavirus, which accounts for more than 15 percent of GDP. Tourism Minister Elisabeth Köstinger confirmed that restaurants in Austria could open on 15 May. However, he called for the precautionary measures still in place to be observed; in restaurants, cafes and bars, it will be mandatory to keep a distance of one meter, for example, waiters will wear a face mask, and guests are advised to book a table in advance.
