Shell is constantly expanding its own electric car charging network
The charging stations installed in the parking lots of Tesco hypermarkets at the first six locations began operating today, providing a convenient charging option for owners of electric cars while shopping.
Shell’s own EV charging network with 36 charging points will be continuously expanded in the coming months, and by the end of the year it will offer EV charging options covering all charging needs with nationwide coverage. Starting today, customers can use the first Shell Recharge electric car charging stations installed in Tesco car parks. The normal or columns that also provide fast charging provide power between 11 and 100 kw, and customers can charge a total of six vehicles at one location at the same time from three charging devices. AC (alternating current) standard chargers are ideal for longer parking, while DC (direct current) chargers are used for faster charging on the road or at charging stations. “With the continuous expansion of Shell Recharge’s network, our customers have access to fast, convenient and reliable electric car charging not only at Shell charging stations, but also during their shopping thanks to the partnership with Tesco. In the coming months, it will be possible to charge an electric car in additional Tesco parking lots and Shell charging stations, which will allow us to achieve national coverage and meet the special needs of electric vehicle users.” – said Vecsey Sarolta, Shell Hungary zRt. Head of the Mobility Business Branch.
