Horticulture in focus?
Spring is the time when two important events take place in the horticulture sector. One is the Fruit Logistica trade fair in Berlin (it was organised for the 26th time this year), where Hungary was also present with a national stand. The other is the Zsendülés conference, which was organised for the 4th time in early March by Kert-Ész Club Association. Szeged was the host and participants discussed all the important matters in the sector. The VAT situation needs to be resolved as soon as possible, because the current 27-percent rate is a hotbed for frauds. Experts also talked about what should be done to protect the domestic markets from foreign produce. As a conclusion we can say: until the VAT isn’t reduced to at least 5 percent, the black market will continue to flourish in the sector. //
