We are running out of garlic
Experts say that because of the drought 15-20 percent less garlic was produced in Hungary in 2015 than in the previous year. Retail chains monitored by the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI) were selling Hungarian garlic for 13 percent more, HUF 1,460/kg in the first seven weeks of 2016 than a year before.
