We are running out of domestic potatoes
According to the Agricultural Economics Research Institute, 192.7 thousand tons of potatoes were produced on 8046 hectares last year. The average yield ranged from 13.4 to 50 tons – Világgazdaság Online wrote.
The potato yield in Hungary usually lasts until the end of January, or until the middle of February. The reason is the lack is storage capacity and the poorer quality – Tasnádi László, potato production director of the Komárom-based Solum Zrt. told Világgazdaság. (vg.hu, K.B.Z.)
