Recognition of Consumer Protection Excellence: Honoring the Best of 2024
This year’s outstanding consumer protection officers and special award recipients were celebrated at a prestigious event, highlighting the importance of consumer-friendly practices across all sectors of commerce.
At the award ceremony held in the Grand Hall of the Benczúr House, Dr. Zsuzsanna Suhajda, Vice President of the Consumer Protection Officers Association (FORE), emphasized that the work of the awardees not only adds value to businesses but also contributes to maintaining the high standards of Hungarian consumer protection.
The “Consumer Protection Officer of the Year Awards” were presented in the following categories:
- Food Retail: Terézia Albert (Auchan Hungary)
- Durable Goods Retail: Tamás Czingiszer (Bauhaus Stores)
- Non-Food FMCG Retail: Zsanett Holik (Rossmann Hungary)
- Non-Food FMCG Wholesale: Margit Dombi (Henkel Hungary)
- Webshop: Dr. Antal Tell (Vöröskő/Euronics)
The “Consumer Protection Team Special Award” was awarded to the team of KiK Textil és Non-Food Kft.
Special awards from the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry for best consumer protection practices were received by:
- Large Company Category: Auchan Hungary, represented by Terézia Albert
- SME Category: Prémium Sport Kft. (Heavy Tools), represented by Krisztina Porcs Imréné
The event was organized with the support of the National Cooperation Fund, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Bethlen Gábor Fund Management Co.
The ceremony once again underscored the pivotal role of consumer protection officers in maintaining the credibility of the commercial sector and fostering consumer trust. These recognitions are expected to inspire both professionals and businesses to continue their high-quality efforts in the years to come.
