Consumer Protection: within two years, the EU Directive should be transposed into the national law
The EU Member States have two years to transpose the legislation of the consumer contractual rights, since the European Council adopted them on October 10 and will publicly announce it in twenty days – said Cséfalvay Zoltán, State Secretary of the National Economy Ministry, at the Tuesday meeting of the National Consumer Committee of the Parliament.
Cséfalvay Zoltán said that the directive on the consumers' contractual rights – which was brought to success during the Hungarian presidency – will improve consumer protection in the fields of contracts outside of the stores, including the online commercial transactions as well – reports MTI.
