Consumer loans: the number of new loans sharply reduces
Only the weakening of the forint keeps the consumer loan portfolio of the households on level. The amount of new loans decreased by more than one-fifth in the year lasting to November.
According to the latest datas of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Hungarian National Bank); the domestic households assessed a slightly more than 270 billion forints new consumer loans last year – without account loans. It is a significant (22.2 percent) decrease, compared to the datas of the base period. (Világgazdaság – Barát Mihály)
