FM: constant goal is to retain the GMO-free status
Hungary must continue to preserve its genetically modified organisms (GMOs) exemptions, which can also be read in the new basic law – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) drew attention in its Wednesday release.
The written press material of the biodiversity conference held in South Korea cites Tóth Katalin, Deputy Minister of State, responsible for the Department for International Relations, who said that the domestic experts participated at the meeting undertook a leading role to ensure that the decisions that are taken also on international level to be consistent with the Hungarian efforts related to GMOs and not pose a threat to the country's GMO-free maintenance in long terms in several areas.
