FM: the hail response system is expanding to nationwide

The government will extend the already successfully operating hail response system in several counties to the area of the entire country – the Ministry of Agriculture told MTI on Thursday.

Only one-third of the area of Hungary is defensed by the hail response system. From the end of 2018, 100 percent of the country's agricultural land will be protected. The Southern Hungarian Ice Storm Response Association (Nefeli) already operates the system in Baranya, Somogy and Tolna counties. (MTI)
