FM: about ten thousand pheasants should be disposed in Abádszalók
Due to avian influenza about ten thousand pheasants, the entire herd must be destroyed in Abádszalók at the Hubertus Hunting Company. The disposal began on Tuesday – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told MTI.
According to the information, the National Food Chain Safety Office’s (NÉBIH) reference laboratory in Budapest detected the bird flu virus during the weekend. Approximately ten thousand pheasants are kept at the company. As the colony is a single epidemiological unit, the entire stock will be destroyed. (MTI)
