FM: there are more than two hundred Hungaricums and outstanding values

The significant result of the act on Hungarian National Values and Hungaricums is that the number of values in the Hungaricum Collection has reached 67, and the number of outstanding values in the Hungarian Depository is 157 – V. Németh Zsolt, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said at the 2nd Conference on Biodiversity in Budapest on Wednesday.

He added that significant results were achieved in the Orchard Program, the civil initiative for the preservation of fruit and landscape varieties. Between 2013 and 2016 a total of 148 gardens were built and the planting of 5405 grafts of nearly 150 fruit trees were completed. Transylvanian and Uplands settlements also joined to the Orchard Agreement, and the number of gardens grew further in 2017. (MTI)
